That's Life...

I came into college thinking that I had all the time in the world... I couldn't be more wrong. It seems that senior year just crept up on me. As a college student venturing into the real world day-by-day, time management is crucial. I know I'm having issues in this area. Balancing school, friends, work and other matters is stressful. I have school Monday - Thursday from mornings to evenings. I also have the responsibility as one-half of the production team at the radio station. Fridays and Saturdays are dedicated to work. On sundays I really try to go see my family.. friends... I am also facing another problem. The rent in my building just went up which is a pain in the a$$ because now I need to look for another place and looking for another place takes more time... CAN ANYONE FEEL MY PAIN!? lol

It seems we are all in the same boat. I don't know many people that can fully focus on school alone and if they can, they are stressed out just the same. It's an incredible challenge to balance everyday life with an education, especially at Baruch, where courses are all quite demanding. I believe everybody should have a good education but I can also see some damage done along the way. Too much stress is really not good for the health and the soul. Add a little drama in family life or work and the situation becomes overwhelming. Two years ago out of the blue, the company I worked for was sold and I lost two month of my salary that has been due for a while. It was right before my finals and X-mas and made my life very complicated. Things like this can happen to everybody, especially now, and I'm sure we all have a little story to tell.
I feel for you concerning finding a new home. It's a real bitch in New York! Small places, expensive, noisy...It's very important to be able to come home from a crazy day and relax in your own little haven. I wish you best of luck!

So many things to do, so little time. That seems to be a common issue now a days. But, its all just balancing everything out. But that seems to be the hardest thing to do. I'm trying to get out my crib too but just don't got the time to.

I also thought that I would have a lot of time for myself in college but the only day I am free is Sunday and that is also taken by readings and assignments. It is though to find time for yourself when you are a full time student and also have a job. Studies and work are very essential part of life. I believe sometimes it's very hectic when you can't get any free time but I guess that is what makes us more responsible. Looking for an apartment can be very hectic. I hope you find a new apartment very soon. Good luck.
